GLOUCESTER Estate Agents Parkers have added a new string to their bow as they join forces with the Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra in a two-year sponsorship deal.
The Hucclecote-based business, which has been serving the city area for the past decade, has pledged a £1,500-plus deal to back the 50-strong orchestra as part of their commitment to support the local community through schools, city projects and sports teams.
Director Stephen Godsell, whose fellow director wife Debbie plays viola and violin with the GSO, said: “At Parkers we are delighted to be able to support Gloucestershire Symphony Orchestra.
“I am looking forward to a harmonious partnership promoting the depth of musical talent that Gloucestershire can be proud of.”
The new musical link for Parkers, which is part of a nationwide network of companies with more than 70 offices, will certainly give it a new dimension.
The GSO has had a high profile year with its recent flashmob ‘Conduct Us’ performance in Gloucester’s Eastgate Shopping Centre and the arrival of dynamic new musical director Glyn Oxley, who holds a number of key musical roles in the county.
He said: “Our season has ended on a high note with this fantastic sponsorship deal from Parkers. It will enable us to build on the growing reputation of this century-old orchestra and bring music to all sectors of the community.”
Parkers, an independent franchise, pride themselves on their welcoming approach which helps them keep in tune with their customers’ needs; they aim to provide a friendly and efficient service that hits the right note and will be remembered by their customers, both past and present.
