Gloucestershire Young Musician 2015 has received a record entry of 23 which will make for a very exciting contest. Entries range from strings, piano, wind to jazz – and even percussion.
Because of the high numbers, the first round of the competition will be spread over two dates, January 9 and 11, and will be held in the recital room at the Gloucester Academy of Music’s headquarters Barbican House, in Commercial Road, Gloucester GL1 2JF.
Our prestigious adjudicator is Meurig Bowen, Director of Cheltenham Music Festival. He will also be chairing the judging panel for the finals, which takes place at Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham on Tuesday, February 24.
